With hundreds of creative Architecture and Interior projects, our Designers have the unique flexibility to immerse themselves in a myriad of project types including but not limited to: office buildings, mixed-use, student housing, corporate interiors and hospitality projects nationally. Sixthriver has a position open for an experienced interior designer. Candidates must be fast learner, team oriented, and passionate about their work. Candidates must have the Required Qualifications in order to apply for this position.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from an accredited institution
Minimum 3 years relevant design experience with emphasis in Multi-Family, Corporate and/or Hospitality Design
Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite and other visual communication software including Sketch Up, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, etc.
Comprehensive knowledge of design process, proven experience with space planning, construction documentation, construction administration, furniture & specialty lighting specification. Proficient in review of other disciplines drawings and ability to communicate design intent.
Ability to work on multiple projects with varying phases of design and timelines
Must be self-sufficient, organized, exhibit good judgement and resourcefulness, driven to learn and participate in all facets of design
Be proactive and engage in a collaborative approach to projects with fellow coworkers, clients, general contractors and other design disciplines
Possess excellent communication skills, both visual and verbal
Some travel may be required both in and out of state
You must be able to perform comprehensive project design from programming & space planning, to design development and construction documentation in design exploration and technical capacity
Determine and coordinate FF&E issues, including budgeting, research, selections, and specifications
Lead client presentations
Participate in construction administration including RFI’s, submittals and site visits
Must have a strong sense of design and aesthetics
Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively
Possess a team-playing attitude, and the ability to contribute to a positive and effective team environment
