Sixthriver Architects was hired to do site-planning and building design for a primary dining facility for 400 campers at a Girl Scouts summer camp and conference center. The project was situated on a rural site in Southwest Travis Country with a commanding view of Lake Travis. The challenges of the project included site placement and design of a building with all the warmth and character of a rural girl’s camp while taking full advantage of the incredible lake views. All of this was accomplished by working with the client and contractor to keep the building within an incredibly tight budget.
